For The Major Sections Of The Poster: As For Legibility, The Following Sizes Are A Good Starting Point:
Title: 72-85pt To be legible 6 feet use 30 pt.
Authors: 48-56pt To be legible 10 feet use 48 pt.
Sub-headings: 36pt To be legible 12 feet use 60 pt.
Body text: 24-32pt To be legible 14 feet use 72 pt.
Captions: 18-22pt
- less is more, avoid large block of wordy text; use bullet points and figures when possible
- quick check: print the poster slide on an 81/2 x 11 sheet of paper and check that everything is aligned and is easy to read
