Unit 5 will span cell division, DNA, and inheritance. To bridge these topics, students will conduct a research project on a specific type of cancer. Group work products will include a video and poster session; individuals will also write a research paper. This project based unit will conclude with the poster session on November 6th.

"Life of a Cell" Special Assignment
Create a cartoon, or graphic illustrating and explaining the process mitosis from the perspective of the cell (or write a letter). (Develop a character or characters that are cells.) Include brief captions for each stage, and use 4 color illustrations. Write one to two paragraph summarizing the journey of the cell.
