Ag Discovery
Ag-DISCOVERY is a two-week residential camp for students designed to help high school students (age 14-17) learn about careers in plant science and veterinary medicine. Students live on the college campus and learn about science from university professors and practicing entomologists, botanists, and plant pathologists. Participants gain experience through hands-on labs, workshops, and field trips. Students also participate in character and team-building activities and diversity workshops. Click here.
Agriculture
NC State, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is now offering a week long summer day camp, open to rising 9th and 10th grade high school students! Our camp will expose students to the wide variety of hands-on and interactive opportunities that are within and behind the scenes of agriculture.

Creating Awareness of Agriculture and Life Sciences Disciplines, Degree Programs and Discoveries (CAALS 3-D) Project
The CAALS 3-D is a week-long day program that serves male, rising 11th and 12th graders from under-represented groups (African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American). Students learn, under the guidance of NC State faculty mentors, cutting-edge scientific techniques in NC State laboratories. Click here.
Engineering
Each summer, the College of Engineering at NC State University offers rising 9th and 10th grade high school students the opportunity to experience engineering at NC State. We offer a multidisciplinary week-long day camp that provides an experience into different fields of engineering. Teams of campers experience introductory activities then transition to work on a collaborative team-oriented challenge project. Click here.
Nuclear Engineering
Young Investigators in Nuclear Engineering is a residential experience that engages participants in the role that nuclear technologies play in meeting the needs of society and solving everyday problems. The program is open to rising juniors and seniors and graduating seniors. Click here.
Environmental Science
The College of Natural Resources (CNR) Environmental Exploration Day is a 1-day event designed for high school sophomores and juniors interested in discovering natural resources majors in CNR that range from Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology to Sustainable Materials and Technology.
High school juniors and sophomores with a minimum weighted grade point average as noted below are encouraged to apply.
10th graders – 3.6 weighted GPA; 11th graders – 3.8 weighted GPA

NC-MSEN
The NC-MSEN Pre-College Program at NCSU is providing a two week non-residential summer program during the last two weeks of June and a one week program in Rocky Mount during the last week of July. The theme of our program: “DRONES AND STEM: YOUR EYES IN THE SKY”. The program provides classes in math, science, robotics, communications, and career awareness for middle and high school students. The NC-MSEN program runs year round to support underserved populations who have not been prepared to pursue college preparatory level mathematics and science-based courses. Click here.

SCIBLS is an opportunity for outstanding high school students interested in a career in science to participate in a college level program. SCIBLS participants take coursework for college credit. “Ni Hao” Wolfpack – Chinese Language and Culture Camp for rising 6th- rising 12 graders

The Design Lab at NC State’s College of Design offers a monthly Open Studio session for local teens (current high school students only). During Open Studio, students bring in works in progress to work on alongside other creative students in a college studio environment. A roundtable review will be held during which students will receive feedback from their peers, NC State College of Design students, faculty and guest artists on their work.
